During her Eras Tour stop at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Saturday (Nov. 16), Taylor Swift surprised fans by bringing out opener and collaborator Gracie Abrams for a special performance of their Grammy-nominated song “Us.”
A Memorable Collaboration
In the surprise songs portion of her set, Swift and Abrams performed a mashup of Swift’s 1989 classic “Out of the Woods” and Abrams’ track “Us” from her The Secret of Us album. The song, co-written by the two artists, is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2025 Grammys.
This marked the second live performance of “Us” together, following their first collaboration on the song at London’s Wembley Stadium earlier this year.
Swift Reflects on the Tour and Abrams
Before introducing Abrams, Swift took a moment to reflect on the journey of The Eras Tour, which began in March 2023, and praised Abrams’ talent:
“A lot of life can happen during a tour, a lot of art can happen,” Swift told the crowd. “And I think you’ll remember the genius, brilliant young lady you saw earlier tonight.”
Swift also reminisced about the night they celebrated Abrams’ Best New Artist Grammy nomination, revealing that they celebrated with “eleventy-hundred cosmos” and later shared a “feral screeching” phone call when they learned of “Us” being nominated.
What’s Next for The Eras Tour
Abrams, who has been a recurring opener for Swift since 2023, will continue to accompany her for the final leg of the tour. The Eras Tour is set to conclude with a three consecutive shows in Vancouver from Dec. 6–8.
